I am Prasanna Wijesekera. My family first came to Australia in 1992 and
tried submitting applications on our own as well as through several
migration agents under various categories to apply for a Permanent
Resident Visa, but without success. The final outcome was that we had to
leave Australia leaving all our belongings including 2 cars in our
garage as we did not have much time left.
While in Sri Lanka one lucky day in January 2005 I saw an advertisement
in the Sunday Observer of Janaka Wickramanayake. We made an appointment
and met him at the Inter Continental where he conducted his
consultations then. We gave him all our documents including the visa
refusal decisions. As it was a very complicated case, he did not want to
rush into things and assured us that he will get back to us once he went
back to Australia.
As promised a few weeks later we got the most happiest news that we have
had in the recent past that we could apply for a permanent resident
visa.
Once bitten, twice shy- that's how we were. We were very cautious and
did not want to take anybody's word for granted. We had a very bitter
past. So without rushing into conclusions we did some reference on
Janaka through friends and relations and made sure that Janaka is a
trustworthy person that keeps his word. I must say that my first
instinct told me that this fellow could be trusted. Having dealt with so
many migration agents both in Sri Lanka as well as in Australia in the
past, I could see the difference of Janaka right from the start. He not
only sounded very professional but acted in a very professional manner
as well.
Finally in May 2005 we retained his services. He was so sure that our
case would succeed that he offered us a Fee Guarantee service whereby he
would refund all the fees charged IF our case was refused.
We came to Australia with a lot of hope and dreams in our hearts and I
can proudly say that all those dreams have come true. Now I am managing
my own business and I get great pleasure in helping people of my own
community through my profession. I work as a Mortgage Manager and
have helped so many, especially the ones who cannot communicate well in
English to buy their dream home.
Once again Thank you Janaka, you have not helped me, but have helped
others also in your community through me.

My name is Chandima Perera. My husband is Anura and we are Sri Lankan qualified Electronic and Civil Engineers by profession. We were living in Singapore and my children studied there. Due to comulsary second lanuage in Singapore we wanted to migrated to Australia for our children's education. As such we searched the web and did all the homework and were very disappointed to know that we did not have a chance. We had almost given up hope of migration to Australia when we heard about Janaka Wickramanayake through my uncle who resides in Canberra. After all the research that we had done, we knew that we did not have a chance, but we just thought that we will just double check through Janaka as well as it would not cost us anything to get the initial advice. So we sent him an email and to our amazement he replied saying that we did have a chance and so the ball started rolling.
Within a few days after he replied and confirmed that we had a chance we retained his service and then within 6 months we got the Permanent Resident Visa as well. My husband being the main applicant came to Victoria first and was able to get a job within a couple of months. I joined him later on with our 2 children aged 10 & 8.

My field of specialisation is Wafer Fabrication Processing. This is not a very common field and as such it is rather difficult to gain employment as there are not very many job opportunities.
But we were so lucky that I mananged to get a job in Sydney. My husband has also given up the job in Victoria and has joined me in Sydney. Both of are employed in our own fields. The 2 children are settled happily in the schools.
We are ever so grateful to Janaka for giving us the most welcoming advice and I have to state that the service provided was more than average all the time. It was professional, yet very friendly. We could call him any time of the day, he would always be at the end the mobile. He spoke with a lot of confidence that even though we had given up hope basing on our own research, we did not hesitate to give it a try. We have recommended Janaka to so many of our friends and I am glad that most them have already succeeded while others are waiting for the final outcome.
